Two Men Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
